Section 121.03 - Appointment of administrative department heads

The following administrative department heads shall be appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, and shall hold their offices during the term of the appointing governor, and are subject to removal at the pleasure of the governor.

(A) The director of budget and management;
(B) The director of commerce;
(C) The director of transportation;
(D) The director of agriculture;
(E) The director of job and family services;
(F) The director of children and youth;
(G) The director of public safety;
(H) The superintendent of insurance;
(I) The director of development;
(J) The tax commissioner;
(K) The director of administrative services;
(L) The director of natural resources;
(M) The director of mental health and addiction services;
(N) The director of developmental disabilities;
(O) The director of health;
(P) The director of youth services;
(Q) The director of rehabilitation and correction;
(R) The director of environmental protection;
(S) The director of aging;
(T) The administrator of workers' compensation who meets the qualifications required under division (A) of section 4121.121 of the Revised Code;
(U) The director of veterans services who meets the qualifications required under section 5902.01 of the Revised Code;
(V) The chancellor of higher education;
(W) The medicaid director;
(X) The director of education and workforce.
