Section 257.1316 - Change in ownership or name and address of facility; notice; owner as corporation; "change of ownership" defined
(1) If there is a change in ownership of a motor vehicle repair facility, a new registration and payment of a new registration fee is required and the facility shall not operate until its registration application is approved by the administrator and the fee is paid. If a name or address of the motor vehicle repair facility changes, and there is not a change of ownership, the facility shall notify the administrator in writing of the change and shall make the appropriate changes on the next renewal registration when due.
(2) If the owner of a motor vehicle repair facility is a corporation, and 10% or more of the stock of the corporation is sold or transferred, the owner shall notify the administrator of that change within 30 days of the sale or transfer.
(3) As used in this section, "change of ownership" means a sale of all or part of a facility to a new owner. The term includes a sale or transfer of a partnership interest in the owner of a facility if the owner is a partnership. The term does not include the sale or transfer of stock in the owner of a facility if the owner is a corporation.
