Opinion

The petition by the state of Connecticut for certification for appeal from the Appellate Court, 156 Conn.App. 256, 112 A.3d 834 (2015), is granted, limited to the following issues:

“1. Did the Appellate Court properly conclude that the state failed to adduce sufficient evidence to convict the defendant of a violation of General Statutes § 53–395(c) ?

“2. Did the Appellate Court properly conclude that the trial court violated the self-represented defendant's sixth amendment right to self-representation by denying his request for a reasonable continuance to review his attorney's case before the start of evidence at trial?”
