DIVORCE, § 227effect of foreign divorce decree upon prior decree for separate maintenance. Valid foreign decree of divorce obtained by husband superseded and nullified wife's prior Illinois decree for separate maintenance, and thus terminated husband's duty of making payments for wife's support, on date that divorce decree was entered, as duty of husband to support and maintain wife ceased upon termination of marital relation.

Appeal from the Superior Court of Cook county; the Hon. JOSEPH SABATH, Judge, presiding.

Reversed and remanded with directions. Heard in the first division, first district, this court at the June term, 1947.
