Shanta FREEMAN, Petitioner, v. STATE of Florida, Respondent.

Jason Cromey, Pensacola, for Petitioner. Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Quentin Humphrey, Assistant Attorney General, Tallahassee, for Respondent.

Jason Cromey, Pensacola, for Petitioner.

Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Quentin Humphrey, Assistant Attorney General, Tallahassee, for Respondent.

Per Curiam.

Petitioner, Shanta Freeman, files a petition for writ of prohibition after the trial court denied her motion for immunity. Pursuant to our supreme court's recent decision in Love v. State , 286 So.3d 177 (Fla. 2019), which determined that section 776.032(4) applies to those immunity hearings, including in pending cases, that take place on or after the statute's effective date—we grant the writ of prohibition and remand for a new immunity hearing.

Lewis, Osterhaus, and M.K. Thomas, JJ., concur.
