As the filing of the petition for writ of habeas corpus by Karen Johns on behalf of petitioner was not authorized by petitioner, said petition is hereby stricken as unauthorized and this case is closed.See Durocher v. Singletary, 623 So. 2d 482, 485 (Fla. 1993) (stating "a next friend has the burden `to establish the propriety of his status and thereby justify the jurisdiction of the court'[;] . . . a `mere volunteer,' therefore, it has no standing as a next friend . . .").
